“What do you want?”
Have you ever truly asked yourself this question? And, assuming that you have, have you ever dared to be honest with yourself and did your best to answer this simple, yet bold question? Without getting too far into it – I’ve been asking myself this question for some time now and it led me to a pretty weird place; definitely not the type of place that I thought it would lead me. This place made me a little uncomfortable, it took some digging and it felt a little weird digging up a raw, new and surprising set of answers.
And what better way to share this super personal information than on a public blog (that I thought I was done writing…or, that “nobody reads”) “for everyone to read and potentially laugh and/or talk about” (cuz that’s what people do all the time, right)?
(Side note: the italic font represents the voices in my head) <—- It’s funny how much this tends to happen…And so I’m gonna try something different and see where being honest about it takes me! It worked last time that I wrote about the bullshit running around in my head that I “thought” I knew about (<—- “You Will Memoirs” reference/HEYO!).
So here we go! 2019 – New year, New me!!! (<—– lol!)
*****
I want to live without worry or anxiety. I want to be financially stable – give or lend and not borrow. I want to live in love and I want to enjoy these wonderful gifts/people that you’ve (God/Life/Universe/Love/______ <—- fill in your blank) given me. And finally, I want for the complete restoration of all of my mind, body and soul.
(And now the daily prayer that I wrote to myself to keep me honest)
Live with intention
…You woke up today…
Today I will try my best to love.
Today I will be thankful and trust the grace in my life and do my best not to worry.
Today I will do my best to remember that I have no “thems” and to forgive (we’re all one).
Today I will enjoy my life and do my best to live with intention.
I will live, in this moment, today. Just today.
(And now, 4 of the best lines that I do my best to live by since reading them in Don Miguel Ruiz’s – The Four Agreements) (<—– GREAT BOOK)
“Be impeccable with your word
Don’t take it personal
Don’t make any assumptions
Try your best”
(And finally, my sharing of these “thoughts”…Cuz, “they’re not real, until I do something with them”.) (<— Two “You Will” references in one blog post? Watch out now!)
Chase after your best you – that’s it.
Count on this (blog/book/something bigger than me) becoming a thing – again. Cheers! (<—– *Pats back*)
